Hi! My name is Afiya (a-fee-ya). I am a writer, filmmaker and artist from Brooklyn, New York.

My work is rooted in Black feminism, centering the experiences, identities, and stories of Black women. In 2018, I earned by Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University at Albany, SUNY. In 2024, I obtained my Master's degree in Africana studies from the University of Delaware. With years of experience in creative direction and visual art, I am passionate about storytelling across mediums as I build a career in the TV/film industry.
